Parking
We've listened to everyone's feedback from last year's Aero Day and have tripled the available parking.
To improve traffic flow, the road will operate as a one-way loop from Airport Road to Landguard Bluff.
Follow the signs and our friendly parking wardens—they’re here to help!
Parking Options:
Main Parking: Main carparking will be located in Oceanview Speedway, A overflow carpark will be opened when this is full. You will be directed by traffic wardens.
Mobility Parking: Located across from the Aero Club. Show your mobility permit to the wardens for easy access.
Aero Day Shuttle Service:
8.45am to 4pm
$5 per seat with $1 going to the Cancer Society.
The Airport Shuttle Services van will carry child seat and a booster seat . The hired van will not.
Both vans will rotate from The Racecourse , Trafalgar Square and the Aero Club
Return Trips from Airport:
12:50 PM, 1:10 PM, 2:00 PM, and from 3:00 PM onwards.

Whanganui Vintage Weekend - Motorcaravan Parking
As part of the Whanganui Vintage Weekend 16-19 January 2026, NZ Motor-Caravan Association invites members to park overnight at the Wanganui Racecourse thanks to the Local NZMCA Area.
- Entry is from 12pm 16 January
- Departure by 12pm Tuesday 20 January.
- The cost is $5 per person per night. Cash on arrival.
- Dogs on leads at all times as it's a working racecourse and pick up after them
- No booking necessary, first come first serve
