The road will operate as a one-way loop from Airport Road to Landguard Bluff.
Follow the signs and our friendly parking wardens—they’re here to help!
Parking Options:
Main Parking: Accessible via a turn-off just before the Aero Club—ample spaces available!
Mobility Parking: Located across from the Aero Club. Show your mobility permit to the wardens for easy access.
Additional Parking: Behind the terminal and along the frontage of Airport Road.
Aero Day Shuttle Service:
Cost: $5 donation per ride ($1 from each ride goes to the Cancer Society).
Pick-Up Times & Locations:
Whanganui Racecourse: 10:30 AM & 1:00 PM
Trafalgar Square: 10:50 AM & 1:50 PM
Return Trips from Airport:
12:50 PM, 1:10 PM, 2:00 PM, and from 3:00 PM onwards.

Whanganui Vintage Weekend - Motorcaravan Parking
As part of the Whanganui Vintage Weekend 16-19 January 2026, NZ Motor-Caravan Association invites members to park overnight at the Wanganui Racecourse thanks to the Local NZMCA Area.
- Entry is from 12pm 16 January
- Departure by 12pm Tuesday 20 January.
- The cost is $5 per person per night. Cash on arrival.
- Dogs on leads at all times as it's a working racecourse and pick up after them
- No booking necessary, first come first serve
